Awaiti Awaiti, meaning "Little stream", has evolved since 1980 around a meandering brook. River stones have been used to line the waterways and to erect hand crafted walls, viewing portals provide glimpses of Japanese irises and lupins beyond.

More than 300 rhododendrons planted among silver birches, ash and maples which provide glorious autumn colour.

Border plantings separate the garden into individual yet flowing compartments with generous curving pathways drawing the viewer on to see what lies ahead.

After enjoying the wonderful vistas of the 2.4 hectare garden, relax in the 130 year old renovated cottage tea-rooms or indulge in some retail therapy in the gift shop.

"All visitors most welcome"
